Angel Manjarrez
About me

Hi there! My name is Angel Manjarrez and I am a licensed professional counselor in our great state of Colorado. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Oregon State University pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I practice primarily from a CBT and REBT approach focusing on the orientation of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am learning to integrate neuroscience findings into my practice as well, identifying predominant response styles to stressors. In a sense, we both are assessing for the way our body and brain responds to a stressor and ways we can work to communicate the top-down and bottom-up processes that we go through.

Outside of therapy, I love being active and spending time with friends and family. If you don't find me in the clinical room, you will likely see me at Wash Park or the mountains hiking and running. I am originally from Minnesota and bring some of those characteristics with me into the therapeutic room!
